The stunning infinity edge pool is surrounded by a beautifully manicured garden of trees, small shrubs and tropical flowers. These beautiful floral wonders join the length of lounge chairs – enjoying, much like the guests who take a few minutes to tan here, the beautiful warmth of the tropical sun. The massive infinity pool forms an L-shape to wrap around the nearby deck and open-air living room. An incredible place to spend the entire day, the pool is perfect for a party, a casual swim or an endurance workout. The pool area enjoys a stunning view of Coral Bay and the sea beyond.
ust next to the pool is the unique and enchanting open air living room. The living room features several ergonomic chairs, large L-shaped couches embracing the corners and even a bar with stools. The unique open air architecture which defines the room makes for a constant immersion in the tropical clime while simultaneously protecting you from the elements. A perfect place to relax, and just a step or two away from being poolside, the living area is sure to find itself as a focal point of any stay.
DINING AREA
In the dining room you find a long rectangular table with seating for eight. Above head are slick designed light fixtures which illuminate the room and provide an air of classy elegance. Enjoying a beautiful view of the infinity pool and the sea beyond, the dining area is not lacking in visual spectacles. A bar runs between the dining area and the fully equipped modern kitchen, making for easy access and simple serving. The room is elegantly decorated, incorporating some live plants, a view of the outside garden, and a unique stone wall.
THEATER ROOM
A place perfect for to unwind and entertain yourself and the entire family and friends after a long day in the sun. The private theater room can fit up to 8 people with plenty of movies and videos to choose from.
BEDROOMS
Five bedroom suites make up the accommodations for Villa Hin Samui. The center piece of each is a massive, comfortable bed, but there is plenty else in these rooms to pique ones interest. I am not entirely sure I want to share this gem with anyone else
First off this is the first time I have bothered to review a holiday accommodation and secondly I am not entirely sure I want to share this gem with anyone else. But in the spirit in which we were received by the most gracious hosts of THE PLANTATION I feel duty bound to take the time to give credit where it is due.
The property itself is of course stunning. Look at the pictures. It does not disappoint in the flesh and nor is it photographed omitting noisy neighbours or ugly views. Secluded, subtle and an oasis of peaceful calm. Most previous reviews mention the fireflies on the lawn of an evening. I now understand why. Impossible to put into words or indeed film or photograph. What most don’t mention is the incredible calm of early morning there.
Good architectural fore thought meant my family of five ‘lived’ easily in this space. The space works very well. Location wise very convenient for Merida and the week barely gave us time to scratch the surface of all the sites within day trip distance. Utterly genuine honest hosts who are as enthused by the houses as we were. A rare find and a true ‘keeper’.

“Great house, great location, great holiday”
We stayed at THE BAY on our 3rd trip to Barbados having stayed at Royal Westmoreland in previous years. We had high expectations given the photos and were not disappointed. As it turns out, the photos don’t do the house full justice.
This is a unique house which we struggled to fault at all. In total we consisted of 6 adults and 2 kids and not once did we feel that we struggled for space. The house is very open and airy and set in a location which captures fantastic views and a nice breeze throughout the day and night. As the other reviews state you couldn’t get much better in terms of location. Short drive to Holetown one way and Mullins another short drive the other way. At the bottom of the hill is a great beach too.

Exceeded the already high expectations
My friend and I just returned from 4 amazing nights in THE PLANTATION.
We had spent a few days in Merida, and the trip to the country was a fantastic counterpart. As you enter the grounds, beautiful landscaping and nature surrounds you. At the center of it all is the contemporary designed house, which exceeded the already high expectations we had before we arrived!
The days were warm and relaxing and magical fireflies lit up the grounds as twilight began. the owners suggestions for daily outings were interesting, tasty and offered many insights into the history and local culture of the region.
The caretakers were very warm and helpful and they cooked us an outstanding regional meal, which I highly recommend. We had a great time communicating with them using an iPhone language translation app!
We can't wait to return with additional friends in the near future.
