THE VILLA MAYAVEE is located on the west coast of Phuket, at Waterfall Bay on Kamala’s Millionaire’s Mile. Situated in an exclusive community, it is secluded from the crowded popular tourist sites, but also in close proximity to the island’s best beaches. The popular white sand beaches of Patong, Kamala, and Surin are a close distance, providing opportunities for guests to explore the island’s natural beauty while also staying close to the villa.
The entire property encompasses 10,200 square meters of land, with the main building occupying 2,400 square meters of space. The building is a unique Z-style structure where guests are welcomed into a stone hallway upon arrival and directed up to a spiral staircase leading to the living areas and separate wings.
Surrounding the property is a lush, tropical jungle that seems to embrace the villa. Both ocean and mountain views are seen from every angle of the rooms, as well as the outdoor lounge spaces. Floor to ceiling glass doors and windows welcome natural light to seep through, creating immaculate spaces for rest and relaxation.
There are generally two wings to the villa – the guest wing, where 3 suites, the gym, and a pool are situated; and the master wing, where the master suite is located and separated from the rest of the guest rooms.
The master wing is a private space that’s separated from the rest of the building by the kitchen and dining areas. It features an impressive dressing area, its own private pool, a library, and an office. The suite is a private retreat all on its own, which makes for the perfect accommodation for a couple while the rest of the family or friends enjoy their time around the rest of the property. This true architectural masterpiece brings the best of the modern world into the natural arena of Phuket’s beautiful tropical forest, while also offering incredible ocean views of the Andaman.

The villa was designed by Tierra Design and finished in 2009. Its overall structure is the highlight of the property, which is defined by geometric lines and volumes that offer a true Zen characteristic to the entire building. There are a total of 4 levels to this Z-shaped home, with an entry that greets guests into a stone hallway, and directed up to a spiral staircase that’s encased with glass. This beautiful entry frames the vast sea, which gives you a glimpse of the breathtaking views that fill every angle on the property. Immediately, you will feel a sense of calm upon entering the property. Linear lines in neutral colors and a blend of natural and concrete materials are merged seamlessly to create a look that’s respectful of the beautiful rain forest that surrounds the home. This house is everything it looks in the pictures and more, the layout around the infinity pool and interior design are second to none but the view from every room is what really makes this house so special. My family and I wanted to stay another week (if not indefinitely!) and the agents for the property are more than helpful to cater to any needs. The main town of St James is close as are all the top restaurants on the island. You will have everything you need here to make the perfect holiday, I know we will be making a re-booking! 5 of 5 stars

Seaside Paradise
Portuguese paradise. Ten minute walk to a sparkling clean and uncrowded beach and easy access to the small town for shopping and dining. The house itself is tastefully appointed with a homey warmth, no details were spared, including cozy blankets everywhere, indoor and outdoor dining spots, pool toys, beach towels, fully equipped kitchen and so much more. The roof top pool was perfect for post-beach/pre-dinner cocktails! We had reserved bikes that were waiting in the drive on arrival, arranged for a massage therapist to visit the house for massages, and helped with difficult restaurant reservations in Lisbon. The house is perfectly situated for a family vacation, enough community space for everyone to gather but then also enough individual space for each to have time alone.
We will return!

Exceeded the already high expectations
My friend and I just returned from 4 amazing nights in THE PLANTATION.
We had spent a few days in Merida, and the trip to the country was a fantastic counterpart. As you enter the grounds, beautiful landscaping and nature surrounds you. At the center of it all is the contemporary designed house, which exceeded the already high expectations we had before we arrived!
The days were warm and relaxing and magical fireflies lit up the grounds as twilight began. the owners suggestions for daily outings were interesting, tasty and offered many insights into the history and local culture of the region.
The caretakers were very warm and helpful and they cooked us an outstanding regional meal, which I highly recommend. We had a great time communicating with them using an iPhone language translation app!
We can't wait to return with additional friends in the near future.
