A great little restaurant, with a beautiful roof terrace, perfect for a evening meal with views over parts of the town and across to parkland. The patron really helpful in describing the dishes and wine. The food excellent & imaginative, the wines outstanding.

The Dopolavoro La Foce was built in 1939 as a meeting place for the workers on the La Foce estate. Country dances and plays featuring the farmers' children were held on the little stage, movies and news of the war were screened and people came from miles around to share a glass of wine and play a game of bocce (bowls) in the shade of the lime trees. Today the Dopolavoro once more belongs to the Origo family and reopens as a restaurant in which traditional Tuscan dishes are flavoured with the delicious La Foce extra-virgin olive oil and created with the best seasonal local produce. The restaurant boasts its own vegetable garden across the road, guaranteeing a genuine farm-to plate process. A path connects the vegetable garden to the famous La Foce gardens, which can be visited on request.

This little restaurant in the main piazza in the town of Cetona is wonderful the team are extremely welcoming and courteous. The menu is very diverse and excellent food. 

In the old prison, where even the gentle Saint Francis put the friars who did not heed the rules or were in contrast with the mother church. Here we still sense the severe and mystic aura that gives the importance and comfort of a liturgy to each meal. Linen table cloths, a hand written menu and the dishes inspired by the seasons, the fantasy of the chef, the fragrance of the vegetables and the produce of the convent: Oven baked bread, olive and caper patè, preserves, salted meats, extra virgin olive oil milled by the young people using old stone millstones. 

Fine dining Tuscan restaurant is at the heart of Castiglioncello del Trinoro. Our executive Chef Giancarla Bodoni leads the kitchen, where her focus is local and organic farm-to-table cooking, a sensibility she brings to Oreade from over 20 years of cooking in her Miami-based Italian restaurant, Escopazzo. Seasonal Tuscan produce, homemade pastas, the freshest meats are brought together to create traditional Tuscan recipes with contemporary presentation.In the summer months, outdoor seating along the restaurant’s terraced gardens is truly spectacular, with wide sunset views of the forests and vineyards of the Val d’Orcia valley. The restaurant takes its name Oreade, after the mythological Greek nymphs and goddesses that were believed to populate mountains and forests. We think Castiglioncello del Trinoro is a superb location for Oreade, where we combine inspiration from the village’s surroundings with some of the best organic ingredients from Tuscany.

At the base of the tower, you will find L'Osteria del Merlo, a restaurant renowned for its meats and seafood which is opened for lunch as well as dinner. The proprietors, Daniele and Elisa, invite you to dine with them. Select from their ever changing menu of Italian specialties accompanied by a rich and refined selection of Italian and foreign wines. Enjoy the magic atmosphere created by the ancient architecture, recently remodelled with a large outside terrace.

The courtyard of this 16th Century convent at the edge of Sarteano has been converted into an elegant garden restaurant. The wine list is excellent and reasonable and the cuisine stays honest to local classic dishes. Take an aperitivo on the walls overlooking the Val di Chiana before sitting down.
