St Anton is rated among the top five resorts in the Alps for very good reason: located in Austria’s Arlberg region, one of Europe’s snowiest areas (remember the place where everybody was gleefully snowed in a couple of years ago), it boasts 340km of pistes, 200km of off-piste itineraries and over 55km² of challenging off-piste terrain. As St Anton goes up in the world you will find it easier to find Spa facilities. For those staying in a properties without such facilities, the ARLBERG-well.com centre is a fantastic solution. Located at the base of Gampen mountain, northeast of Dorfstrasse and under five minutes' walk from the town centre, the contemporary glass and timber centre offers numerous indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, steam rooms, massage treatments and a fully-equipped gym with fitness classes, yoga, pilates etc.

4 km lighted sled run from Gampen to Nasserein to the Rodelstall. The 2.5 mile [4 km] run begins on the Gampen and goes down to the valley. The course takes about 15 minutes to complete and has a vertical elevation of 1,670 feet [500 metres]. Use of the toboggan run is free. Toboggans can be hired.

Tobogganing in St. Anton am Arlberg:
The natural sled run is a popular outing destination with locals and guests alike. It starts at Gampen and goes past "Rodelhütte" hut to the"Rodelstall" in Nasserein.

Cleared and marked paths offer restorative relaxation in snow-covered nature. You only have to take the first step - and then the next - and listen to how the snow crunches under your boots. For people who just like to treat themselves to a few contemplative and relaxing hours, there are 70 km of hiking paths will be cleared and marked - which lead the way out into the snow-covered mountains.

The multifunctional sport and climbing centre arl.rock is another fantastic facility for bad snow days or if you simply want to try your hand at something other than skiing or riding. The sleek modern centre is located by the railway station, just south of the town centre (five minutes' walk) and features tennis, squash and volleyball courts, bowling, indoor soccer fields and – its distinguishing feature – extensive climbing facilities. There are indoor bouldering facilities, 25 varied outdoor routes for all levels and 60 climbing routes in grades three to nine. And, once you're done climbing, you can enjoy an authentic Thai curry at the Skiing Buddah.

St. Anton am Arlberg offers great programs for children and their parents! This resort is for the whole family. No more grumpiness, no more lousy mood ... and for sure no more tears! Be it on the Märchenwiese, the Geländegarten or sliding down the Orgelbahn - our ski instructors for children are experts with lots of patience, imagination and understanding. The ski schools also run a Kindergarten.
