The marina of Vilamoura is nearby (2kms), a variety of restaurants, shops and bars are available. Why not try trendy ‘Bar Sete’, co-owned by footballer Luis Figo on the water’s edge, a spot of cabaret at the casino and then onto the Algarve’s biggest nightclub (15 minutes away outside the village of Maritenda) If you like fun packed days out, there are 4x4 adventures through the countryside plus a variety of water sports including parasailing, wake-boarding and water-skiing. Yacht charters are also possible.
Cultural days out include day trips to Seville (why not hop over the border and explore this Spanish gem), or Lagos and Sagres (see where Henry the Navigator sailed from, clifftop fortresses and the museum of Santo Antonio).
